TOMS RIVER, NEW JERSEY—Holiday Care Center, one of the area’s premier nursing care facilities, recently announced changes and additions to its administration team and staff. The changes reflect a renewed commitment to outstanding care for residents and peace of mind for their loved ones. Some of the new team members are actually returning to Holiday Care Center, recruited for their exceptional skills and rapport with staff and residents alike.
Donna Schwartzman, CSW, LNHA, returns to Holiday Care Center as Administrator. Ms. Schwartzman is responsible for the overall quality of care at the facility and for building the new management team to meet the needs of residents and their families. With two decades of experience, her qualifications and track record are impeccable.
Ms. Schwartzman’s plans are ambitious, “We’re out to raise the bar here at Holiday Care Center. Our standards have always been demanding—now they’ll be even more so. Change begins with the thought process. You can’t simply ‘talk the talk,’ you need to lead by example and we’ll do just that.” She continued, “First and foremost will be our commitment to the level of resident care. Obviously, compliance with all standards will be a priority, as will improving communication with family members. Responsibilities will be more clearly defined and accountability will also be key.”
Joining the team as Director of Nursing is Robin Clausen, BSN, RN, who held the position from 2002-2005. Robin has worked extensively with Ms. Schwartzman in the past and the two share many ideals and philosophies that will spread throughout Holiday Care Center.
Additional appointments include Lu Krater, BSN, RN, who will resume the position of Assistant Director of Nursing; Cindy Kraft, CSW as Director of Social Work and Madeline Seeland, CSW as Assistant Social Worker. Jennifer Causer has been hired as Assistant Administrator and will join the team shortly.
“Another important goal is to create a ‘culture’ among the staff here at Holiday Care Center. This is a team, every player is important—at all levels,” commented Ms. Schwartzman. “We will stress education, communication and empowerment, as we develop an atmosphere of respect and mentorship. By working seamlessly and cohesively as a unit, we’ll achieve our goals.”
